Chubby Chasin'

I am not a big fan of lipstick.  I rarely, if EVER, wear it...and when I do it is the closest thing to nude as possible.  I really love the way lipstick looks, and when I see a girl with a shiny, brightly colored pout, I get envious.  I often pass through other blogs and see adorable girls with amazing, beautiful lip gloss, and wish I could pull that off. But for that one girl who can wear lipstick effortlessly, there are 10 more unfortunate ladies that are the opposite end of the spectrum.  These are the women with lipstick all over their teeth, smeared around the outer perimeter of their lips, colors that look borderline Halloween, and what is worse than a girl who leaves lipstick stains all over a cup or mug!?  Lipstick creates a far too hazardous situation, therefore I avoid it.

But!  I have found the happiest lipstick medium.  I have to give a shout out to Clinique for making this perfect lip product.  Clinique Chubby Sticks are amazing.  They give you a little color, or a lot with layering, and all the while they are foolproof. The color doesn't stick on your teeth, and it goes on like gloss.  I don't know how they make these, but is is magic, and I am sure involves some casting of spells and goblins.

The first picture above is of my most favorite color, Whoppin Watermelon.  It is a soft baby pink, that with layering can give you a perfect bubblegum pink hue.  I recently procured the Whole Lotta Honey and it has more of a natural/nude effect.  I don't really think you can go wrong with any of these colors.  I reviewed several websites, and this product is getting rave reviews around the board.  Most places are selling these for $16 but if you go to Sephora they are only $15.

Check out the palette below to see the colors out of the tube.

  1. I've been wearing that same color in the Chubby Stick since they were released because I love it so much! Perfect for summer especially, since it has SPF 15!
